Living after Loss Posted Wednesday, January 10, 2024 12:18 PM Although my husband and I had only 10 years together and I have lived 8 years since his death, those years were life-changing and I miss him daily. |

RE: Living after Loss Posted Sunday, March 10, 2024 05:24 PM Dear Karel:Thank you for posting this. Many would think that grief is an episode in life. You are giving testimony to that is a new condition of life, requiring continual acknowledgement. We absorb it into our being and it stays. On the other hand, it is reminder of all that was life-giving and positive in our relationships with our dear one. Thanks for posting this. Love, Alice |

Thank you, Alice, for sharing your thoughts on the nature of grief. Today is the 3d anniversary of the death of my dear husband and life companion. I still miss him but not in the same way I did in the first year. He's just part of me now, and my children and I talk easily and lovingly about him, without tears, just fond memories.
