Jean A. Buttmi of Middletown and Washington, DC died on February 11,
2017.

Jean was born the daughter of the late Helen S. Butttmi and the
late William Buttmi on September 30, 1941. She graduated from
Middletown High School in Middletown and then attended Mount Holyoke
College in Massachusetts where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree
in 1963.

Jean went on to American University in Washington DC and
earned a law degree in 1968. She was admitted to the bar in 1969.
Jean became a patent attorney in Washington DC, where she settled.
She eventually became a partner at Hoffman, Wasson and Gilter in
Arlington.

Jean loved to travel and adored her dogs. Jean married the
love of her life, Mark Greenfield, and was the happiest until his
death in 1995.

Jean was predeceased by her parents and her husband,
Mark. She leaves her cousins Judith G. Grant (James) and Patricia G.
DeCarli (Dennis), several second cousins and dear friends, Lois
Bukowiec and Marie and Phil Cacciola. Jean had a brilliant mind, a
strong will and a tender heart. She will be missed.
